Glazed Beets

Standard
  • 2 cans sliced or diced beets
  • 4 tbsps. Sugar
  • 2 tbsps. Cornstarch
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 6 tbsps. Vinegar
  • 4 tbsps. Butter

Drain beats, reserving 2/3 cup juice. Set aside. Mix together all ingredients, except butter, in a saucepan. Cook and stir over med. Heat until thickened and bubbly, and then cook and stir for a couple min. more. Add beats and butter, and heat through.
